Our training centre has been designed to help delegates make the most of our unique training programmes. It comprises the following areas:

Classrooms

Our centre at the RTC Business Park in Derby has three classrooms, named "Ashbourne", "Bakewell" and "Matlock". The classrooms can seat up to 20 delegates in a 'u' shaped layout, except for Bakewell, which seats up to 35 delegates in a theatre style arrangement.

Each room is equipped with a data projector, notebook computer, DVD/video player and state-of-the-art multimedia systems. Flip chart stands and electronic whiteboards are also available.

Both Ashbourne and Matlock classrooms are monitored by closed circuit television cameras and microphones so that activity can be recorded.

Training and simulation

The simulator has five control rooms where team scenarios take place. Each room is monitored from a central directing staff room with one-way glass, closed circuit television cameras and microphones. Activity in each room can be recorded onto DVD.

The simulator is highly flexible and can be divided into two independent suites. Each has its own DVD recorder and sound effects system. Telephone calls between delegates and role players are routed through an exchange which is only connected to handsets within the simulator.

Break-out area

Hot and cold drinks and biscuits are available so delegates can relax between sessions or catch up on their emails through our high-speed wireless internet access.

Restaurant

The onsite restaurant offers a wide range of hot and cold meals. Buffet meals can also be arranged and delivered to one of the training rooms.
